Connecting Xero

Authorise Xero via OAuth to auto-import actuals and map your chart of accounts to forecast categories.

Connecting ForezynPlan to Xero lets you import real actuals automatically, keeping your forecast comparison up to date without manual data entry.

Prerequisites

You need: a Xero account with Advisor or Standard user access, and a ForezynPlan account on Starter plan or above. The connection is per-organisation — if you have multiple Xero orgs, connect them separately.

Step 1: Go to Integrations

In ForezynPlan, go to Settings → Integrations → Xero. Click the blue 'Connect to Xero' button.

Step 2: Authorise via OAuth

You'll be redirected to Xero's login page. Sign in to Xero and select the organisation you want to connect. Click 'Allow Access'. You'll be redirected back to ForezynPlan automatically.

Step 3: Map your Chart of Accounts

After connecting, ForezynPlan imports your Xero chart of accounts. You'll see a mapping screen: drag each Xero account to the matching ForezynPlan component (e.g. 'Consulting Revenue' → Revenue component, 'AWS hosting' → DirectCost). Unmapped accounts go to a holding category. This mapping only needs to be done once.

Step 4: Initial sync

Click 'Sync Now'. ForezynPlan imports your Xero transactions for the last 24 months (configurable in settings). You'll see the actuals layer populate in your model within a few minutes.

Ongoing sync

After the initial setup, syncs run automatically every 24 hours. Trigger a manual sync any time from Settings → Integrations → Xero → Sync Now.
