The Cash Flow Statement in ForezynPlan is automatically constructed from your model components — no manual cash flow entries are required.

Opening the Cash Flow report

Go to Reports → Cash Flow. The report shows the full cash flow statement with opening and closing cash positions charted at the top.

Three sections

Operating Activities: cash generated from (or used by) normal business operations — revenue received, costs paid. Investing Activities: capital expenditure (Asset components) and asset disposals. Financing Activities: loan drawdowns, repayments, and equity raises (Loan and Equity components).

Net cash movement

The bottom of the statement shows Net Cash Movement per period and the Closing Cash Balance (Opening Cash + Net Movement). Any month where Closing Cash goes negative is highlighted in red — a key planning signal.

Cash vs profit

Profit and cash flow are different things — your model can be profitable but cash-negative in a given month (e.g. due to a large asset purchase). The Cash Flow report lets you plan for these timing differences.

Adjusting the cash position

If your closing cash figures don't match your actual bank balance, check your Opening Balance entries (Settings → Opening Balances → Cash). The model cash flow starts from this figure.
