Report Generation Problems

Why a report shows zeros, blank PDFs, and timeouts on large exports — with fixes for each.

If an export to PDF or Excel fails, use these troubleshooting steps.

Browser download blocked

The most common cause. Check your browser's download settings — some organisations block file downloads via browser policy. Look for a blocked download notification in the address bar. Try in an incognito/private window.

Pop-up blocker

PDF exports open in a new tab before downloading. If your browser blocks pop-ups from ForezynPlan, the export won't complete. Allow pop-ups from app.forezynplan.com in your browser settings.

Large model timeout

Very large models (100+ rows, 5+ year range) can take up to 60 seconds to export. Wait for the spinner to complete before navigating away. If it times out, try exporting a shorter date range first.

Google Sheets authorisation

If Google Sheets export fails, your Google Drive authorisation may have expired. Go to Settings → Integrations → Google Drive → Reconnect to refresh the OAuth token.

Corrupted Excel file

If the downloaded .xlsx file won't open, try downloading again. If the issue persists, export as CSV from the individual report view instead.

Contact support

If none of the above resolves the issue, submit a ticket with your browser name and version, the report you're trying to export, and the error message (if any).
